We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate OH&S manager to actively drive a positive safety culture through the provision of site-based
support that assists the project delivery team fulfil their statutory requirements. Reporting directly to the construction manager, the OH&S manager’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

Improving our OH&S maturity levels through the provision of training initiatives, workplace monitoring and efective implementation of the OH&S management system onsite;
Implementation of a monthly OH&S report to senior management capturing OH&S statistics;
Mitigate potential incidents, near misses and legal liability threats through workplace inspections, alerts/bulletins, incident investigations and auditing activities; and
Liaising with external stakeholders including, Worksafe Victoria and MBAV as required.

The successful OH&S manager will ideally possess:

  • Hands on approach in continuing to build a positive OH&S culture amongst staff and key subcontractors;
  • Ability to build, foster and maintain good working relationships;
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality and accountability; and
  • Exceptional communication skills.

The successful OH&S manager will demonstrate:

  • A minimum 5 years OH&S experience in a similar role;
  • Formal Qualification (Diploma minimum) in OH&S;
  • First Aid statement of attainment – Occupational First Aid;
  • Relevant quality related qualifications i.e. Lead OHS Auditor; and
  • Current Victorian Driver’s License.
