As the primary point of contact between our estimating department and project delivery team, we are seeking a full-time fast paced and detail-oriented Estimator to join our estimating team.

Reporting directly to the Victorian Estimating Manager the role will be responsible for the management of tender processing including, tender clarifications and successful project handover.  The Estimator’s duties will include, but not be limited to the following:

  • Detailed estimating of major projects (up to $25 million in value) including site inspections, take offs, trade pricing,
  • Vetting quotations and finalizing tender amounts for review by the Estimating Manager
  • Providing support and supervision to the Estimating team for all estimating functions;
  • Preparing comprehensive handover reports for successful tenders;
  • Attending site inspections and tender interviews as required;
  • Liaising with external consultants for secondary support;
  • Actively monitoring workload of the estimating team;
  • Liaising with Marketing to prepare EOI submissions;
  • Attending post completion project reviews capturing specific feedback relating to budget and trade performance.

The successful Estimator will ideally demonstrate and possess the following:

  • Successful track record as an Estimator in the construction industry;
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline (i.e. construction management, civil engineering or building construction) and/or exposure to works on-site;
  • Strong understanding of the current construction market conditions;
  • Advanced Estimate One and Buildsoft Cubit (or similar software) application skills;
  • Expert ability to effectively manage a fast-paced high-pressured team environment; and
  • Strong negotiation ability and exceptional communication skills.
